Electric Double Layer Capacitor (EDLC), also known as supercapacitor or ultracapacitor, is an electrochemical energy storage device that stores and releases energy based on the electrostatic charge separation at the interface between electrodes and electrolyte, rather than chemical reactions (unlike batteries).

Advantage

Fast charging and discharging speed: The charging time is usually only a few seconds to a few minutes, much faster than the hour-level charging of lithium batteries.
Extremely long cycle life: The number of charging and discharging cycles can reach over 100,000 times, which is 10 to 100 times that of traditional lithium batteries, and there is basically no need for frequent replacement.
Excellent low-temperature performance: It can still work stably within a wide temperature range of -40℃ to 60℃, with no significant performance decline, and is suitable for harsh environments.
